Herb Gardens Make Unique Gifts for the Gardener in Your Life

Put together a little steel tub of all your mom's favorite herbs.

These containers are super easy to care for. She can keep it on her patio, balcony, or even a sunny windowsill. She'll be able to clip herbs for dinner whenever she wants and water all her plants in one place.

All you'll need to put together an herb garden for your mom is a container at least 6 inches deep and 12 inches wide (I love the Behrens brand tubs you can find at most hardware stores), some potting soil, a drill (if you need to add drainage holes to the bottom of the container), some coffee filters to place at the bottom over the drainage holes (Mom will appreciate this when her planter doesn't make a huge mess every time she waters), and her favorite herbs.
