Meet Sara: A California Garden Coach

I have loved growing things for as long as I can remember. But I think it started with the patriarchs of my family. Both of my beloved grandfathers were avid gardeners in their own way. One was into succulent and cactus gardens (so hipster before his time) and the other kept a large edible garden complete with fruit trees and citrus and lots of roses. They each let me keep a small part of the garden for myself and to this day the smell of tomato vines is one of the most nostalgic scents to me because it reminds me of sunny days in Poppy's garden. At my house, growing and eating our own garden produce was a natural part of each season.

My dream is to run a wildly successful business that I love showing up for every single day.

Because I love gardening so much, I know it is something I can think about and discuss with clients every single day. I have learned so much from Garden Coach Society! I have learned about how to setup my business and lead successful consultations that turn into sales.

Knowing the right questions to ask and how to support my clients has given me a lot of confidence to get my business going. Also, having a mentor and a group of other people growing their businesses alongside me is the best. The community within Garden Coach Society is so valuable to me.

Teaching people how to garden or how to garden better is so rewarding and incredibly important.

If we can find caring and enthusiastic people to share their knowledge with the next generations of gardeners, then I can't help but believe that we will make a huge impact on our planet and local ecosystems. We get to connect our clients back to the earth and their food system in a way that is fun and beautiful.
