Just like many people fresh to gardening, Annie felt overwhelmed trying to figure out what to plant and where to plant it. Since starting Seed and Vine in 2018, she’s worked with clients in Columbus, Ohio, to bring more fun into growing your own food. “I always say everyone can and should have a garden,” she says, “and I truly believe that with the right setup and the right plan and a little support along the way, that it's possible.”
Annie’s love of gardening began while she was living in the East Village and discovered the peaceful community gardens tucked behind the bustling streets of New York City. She joined a garden on her block and learned organic gardening techniques from her fellow community gardeners, who were happy to share their knowledge and connect over nature.
After moving home to the Midwest, Annie and her family built their own urban garden, and Annie became a member of the Garden Coach Society in July of 2018, which inspired her to share her knowledge and experience.
Growing food has brought me so much joy. It has been the basis for many things in my life including my love of cooking, my desire to take better care of our planet and environment, and even my drive to live more simply and minimally.”
Originally named Seed Babies, Seed and Vine designs and builds beautiful custom kitchen gardens, relying on locally sourced products, plants, and professionals as much as possible. Owner and founder Annie’s on a mission to instill the tools of gardening in her community so that everyone can grow confidently and enjoy their outdoor spaces. For those still learning, Annie and her team of experts offer monthly maintenance and coaching services. Caring for your garden, she believes, should be fun, simple, and enjoyable.
